Uniting Banks Lodge is a happy and loving residential aged care home in Peakhurst, in the St George region of Sydney. Support includes specialist dementia support, nursing and personal care and clinical and allied health services.
Comfort and care of residents is the highest priority for Uniting, and an internal refurbishment was needed to maintain the high quality of the residence provided.
Project Scope
A wide range of minor and major works were completed:
Balconies: existing balconies were demolished and replaced with full waterproofing, relining and re-establishing finishes and re-tiling.
Chaplain’s Office: manufacture and installation of detailed joinery
Nurses stations: refurbishment of nurses stations to maintain quality and service with minimal disruption to the daily operations
Water leaks: due to wear and tear, refurbishment was completed due to water damage, and supply and installation of joinery
Common Corridors: common areas received a new paint colour scheme, flooring throughout and protective wall and door solutions
Provide development and design advice for selected FFE
Results
The refurbishment at Banks Lodge was high quality, retaining the standards of the residential care home. The common areas are used extensively and the refurbishment allows residents to relax in comfortable surroundings.
